Intragastric Balloon (BIB)

The intragastric Balloon (BIB) program is a simple, yet innovative approach to help you loss excess weight. The BIB is a soft, silicone balloon that is inserted into the stomach(through mouth) and filled with sterile saline. With the balloon you will have the feeling of satiety, or lack of hunger. The balloon will be removed after six months. With the help of the BIB, you can more easily adopt the lifestyle changes needed to lose weight.

The Intragastric Ballloon Advantages

The BIB program has several advantages over other weight loss plans. With the BIB you can:
1. Have a feeling of satiety
2. Lose more weight than with other diet programs
3. Be supported by a team of medical experts
4. Learn principles for long-term success
5. Have the benefits of non-surgical, non-pharmaceutical approach

What Results Can You Expect?
Individuals participating in the BIB Program can expect to have significant weight loss in the first six months. The amount of weight you lose and how long you maintain that weight loss will depend on how well you adopt long-term lifestyle changes related to eating and exercise.

1. At least 18 years old
2. Overweight (at least 10-15 kilos over your ideal weight)
3. Ready to comply with a serious, medically supervised program

SLEEVE GASTRECTOMY

The Sleeve Gastrectomy procedure (also called Vertical Gastrectomy, Sleeve Gastrectomy, Greater Curvature Gastrectomy, Parietal Gastrectomy, Gastric Reduction, Logitudinal Gastrectomy and even Vertical Gastroplasty) is performed worldwide for the treatment of obesity.
It generates weight loss by restricting the amount of food (and therefore calories) by   removing 85% or more of the stomach without bypassing the intestines or causing any gastrointestinal malabsorption.  It is a purely restrictive operation.  It is currently indicated as an alternative to the Lap-Band® procedure for low weight individuals and as a safe option for higher weight individuals. It is also done with the help of laparascope under general anaesthesia.
